Tools to Stay Organized

Does your school or district already use a learning management system (LMS)? Chances are, it includes features that will be useful for organizing Project-Based Learning. As you get ready for a project, make use of a shared calendar, discussion boards, student blogs, quizzes and other formative tools, along with ways to share content and receive student assignments. Your LMS keeps these resources in one place.

An alternative is to use a cloud-based platform like Google ClassroomSchoologyCanvas, or another LMS to organize your project online. Cloud-based platforms enable students to connect to project resources in class or outside school on a variety of devices. Creating a project wiki (using PBWorks or Google Sites, for example) is another way to keep the resources for learning organized and accessible to all.
